This is just placeholder text. Don’t be alarmed, this is just here to fill up space since your finalized copy isn’t ready yet.

In previous posts I’ve already mentioned how much I’ve learnt from my cats. But it’s about time I officially introduced you to Tika and Sully.

Tika

Tika came into our lives soaked and covered in fleas in the spring of 2012. We rescued her from a flood when she was still almost a baby, and she immediately adopted us as her slaves family. We named her after Tika Waylan, a Dragonlace’s character because she’s fearless, adventurous and a natural leader; wherever she goes she immediately becomes the one who calls the shots. She’s the boss and she knows it.

She has been and continues to be an inspiration for creating cat games at Valhalla Cats. She helps with marketing stuff, she’s recorded some mews and she even takes us out for walks when she sees we’re burned out. One day she’ll have a video game telling her story, but that will have to wait. She is married to a handsome cat from Denmark named Magnus.

Sully

We rescued Sully from an abandoned convent. He was the smallest (and cutest) cat there and other cats (probably out of envy) attacked him. Maybe that’s why he has always been so shy and skittish. He has a genuine devotion to Tika, always following her around although this feeling isn’t mutual.

Sully being handsome

Even though he’s quite fearful, Sully has superpowers: sometimes he bends needles at the vet and he can foresee storms at least 15 minutes before they happen. At home we call him Mr. Weather Whiskers, but he doesn’t brag about these powers and instead he prefers to find a safe place away from the thunders.

I hope you enjoyed the post, I would love to hear the story of how your cats came into your life.

The latest from Valhalla Cats and things I found interesting this week:

  • If you like guitar pedals and cats, you’ll love the Meowdulator: “Purrfect your musical creativity with the Meowdulator, the innovative monophonic cat guitar synth that transforms every note you play into a symphony of “cat-astic” sounds.
  • This cat video game has been on my radar lately, we’ll have to keep an eye out for it! Wishlist Copycat on Steam.
  • A reminder that we have an active contest to add your pets to Stars in the Trash.

Thank you for your time. I hope you enjoyed the read.

Have a wonderful day,

Jose
