This is just placeholder text. Don’t be alarmed, this is just here to fill up space since your finalized copy isn’t ready yet.

Everything is super quiet and calm around here, maybe I should drop something on the floor and see what happens.”

“Today, the mysterious cat from the garden didn’t show up. I wonder where she went.”

-Moka

In other meowsletters we’ve introduced you to some characters from Stars in the Trash: Bati, Trasto the dog or Ursus, the kennel man… So now it’s time to introduce you to Moka, the main character of our story.

A lot of you have asked why Moka has an “M” on his forehead. Well, that’s because Moka is a tabby cat, which means that his fur has a unique coat pattern: the stripes on his cheeks, back, legs… all meet on his forehead to form that distinct “M”.

Moka, the main character of Stars in the Trash

Tabby cats aren’t a special breed; the term just refers to their coat pattern and they’re considered non-pedigree cats worldwide. Unfortunately, this is why many people overlook them for adoption. However, we know they’re amazing cats and that special coat actually links them straight to some of their closest wild ancestors.

Typical tabby patterns in the head region: An ‘M’ on the forehead, bright eye rims and borders of the ears

Moka, on the other hand, is a spoiled and mischievous house cat living a quiet life with his buddy Trasto. However, as the saying goes, idle hands are the devil’s workshop, and bored Moka spends his days trying to slip through doors and explore an outside world he imagines is full of adventures and fun. Until he manages that, he’ll have to keep dreaming of grand feats, like the time he defeated the vacuum monster, or just patiently wait for that mysterious cat to show up in the garden again.

Who is she? Where does she live? Will Moka finally get outside and live the adventures he’s been longing for?
